This stunning listed Georgian property near Hay on Wye was undergoing full renovation. The long garden was overgrown with established specimen trees and years of neglect. The clients wanted a garden in keeping with the age and style of the property, but have room for a marquee for entertaining.

Original paths were revealed and linked into a design incorporating Georgian elements. Three individual rooms were designed with different atmospheres. All are linked with criss-crossing pathways, gates, perfumed arches and pergolas with room for a marquee on the formal lawn. Planting throughout will eventually clothe the strong bones of the design with softness, architectural enhancement, textures and perfume.
